Gallery
Calling all art lovers who would enjoy sitting in an
art gallery during an occasional Saturday or Sunday
afternoon. Learn about a variety of art forms, help
with important gallery functions, and get to know artists
at the Torpedo Factory Art Center.
Responsibilities include:
- Keeping an eye on the art in the gallery
- Processing sales of artwork
- Meeting and greeting visitors
- Occasionally assisting with light duties such as mailings
or data processing
Located on the ground floor of the Torpedo
Factory Art Center, the Target Gallery is open to the
public Wednesday through Sunday, 12 noon to 5pm.
Second
Thursday Art Night
As a part of the "Second Thursday in Old Town"
celebration, Art Night is a sophisticated evening of
art openings featuring activities, live entertainment,
and a reception highlighting local restaurants and establishments.
Volunteers may help with set-up, banquet tables, registration,
gallery sitting, or prize drawings. Volunteers are requested
to work from 5:30pm until 9pm. Partake in this exciting
and ever-changing monthly event.
