Tours of the Torpedo Factory - A Brief Introduction

The Torpedo Factory can schedule for your group a 5-minute introductory talk about the art center and the history of the building. There are no docent-led tours at this time.

Visitors are always encouraged to meet the artists, ask questions, and observe as they create original work in their studios. Many people enjoy exploring the center at their own pace.

At this time, introductions can be scheduled on a limited basis on Mondays and Fridays between 12:30 and 3pm.

Due to limitations on staff time, the introductory talk will not be available if your group is more than 15 minutes late.

A minimum of 2 weeks notice is required and not all times are available.

To schedule an introduction for your group on a Monday or Friday afternoon, email with the following information:

Age/Grade Level (For school groups only)
Preferred Date and Time

School Groups
School groups may not exceed 50 students on any one day. At all times, students must break into smaller groups of 10 or less, each with an adult chaperone. It is recommended that students be at least eight years of age.
