Juror's Statement

In participation with the Minds Wide Open statewide celebration of women in the arts, the gallery is presenting an all-media national and international juried exhibition exclusively for female artists. Lillian Fitzgerald, curator and art consultant, is the juror for this opportunity. Fitzgerald will speak at 7pm about her selections. Following the gallery talk at 7:30pm, Karen Reedy Dance will perform Enter, with choreography by Robert Battle. Exploring the various stages of womanhood, this trio (Constance Dinapoli, Adriane Fang, and Karen Reedy) is set to Strauss arias that will be performed live by soprano Kathryn Hearden.

The Target Gallery, national exhibition space of the Torpedo Factory Art Center, is located on the waterfront in Old Town Alexandria, VA.
