Metro/Trolley Directions
Take the Yellow or Blue line to King Street Metro station.

To get to the art center from the metro station, you may take a free trolley, hop
in a taxi, or take a 30-minute walk east on King Street until
you reach North Union Street, the last street before the Potomac
River waterfont. Click for Google Map.

Free King Street Trolley:
From 11:30am to 10pm daily, the
trolley runs between the King Street Metro station and
North Union Street, right outside of the art center.
The trolley stops along King Street so visitors can
hop on and off along Old Town Alexandria's main thoroughfare.

Driving Directions
From D.C. or Arlington, Virginia area:
Cross the river to G.W. Parkway, go south past Reagan National
Airport to Alexandria. Turn left on Queen Street to the river
(end of street); Turn right. 1.5 blocks to the Torpedo Factory
Art Center on the left. Find out where
to park.
From Virginia (Richmond) or other points south:
Take I-95 North which becomes part of the I-495 Capital Beltway
towards Baltimore. Merge onto US-1 N via EXIT 177B toward
ALEXANDRIA / MT VERNON HWY / OLD TOWN ALEXANDRIA. Go 6 blocks,
turn right on King Street to the river and turn left on Union
Street (last street before the river); 1/2 block to the Torpedo
Factory Art Center on the right. Find
out where to park.
From Maryland (Montgomery County including Potomac, Rockville,
and Bethesda):
Take 495 towards Northern Virginia. Cross the American Legion
Bridge and exit onto the GW parkway going south towards National
Airport. The GW parkway becomes Washington street in Alexandria.
Turn left on Queen Street to the river, Turn right on Union
street 1.5 blocks to the Torpedo Factory Arts Center on the
left. Find out where to park.
From Maryland (Baltimore) or other points north (New
York):
Take I-95 South which becomes part of the I-495 Capital Beltway
towards Richmond. Take the US-1 S / US-1 N exit- EXIT 177C-B-A-
toward MT VERNON HIGHWAY off the Beltway. Merge onto S PATRICK
ST / US-1 N. Go 6 blocks, turn right on King Street to the
river and turn left on Union Street (last street before the
river); 1/2 block to the Torpedo Factory Art Center on the
right. Find out where to park.
From Maryland (Annapolis) or other points east (Chesapeake
Bay and surrounding beaches):
Take I-50 West to the I-495 Capital Beltway (I-95) towards
Richmond. Take the US-1 S / US-1 N exit- EXIT 177C-B-A- toward
MT VERNON HIGHWAY off the Beltway. Merge onto S PATRICK ST
/ US-1 N. Go 6 blocks, turn right on King Street to the river
and turn left on Union Street (last street before the river);
1/2 block to the Torpedo Factory Art Center on the right.

From National Harbor:
Take the I-495 S / I-95 S Capital Beltway heading south towards
Richmond. Take the US-1 S / US-1 N exit- EXIT 177C-B-A- toward
MT VERNON HIGHWAY off the Beltway. Merge onto S PATRICK ST
/ US-1 N. Go 6 blocks, turn right on King Street to the river
and turn left on Union Street (last street before the river);
1/2 block to the Torpedo Factory Art Center on the right.

From West Virginia or other points west:
Take I-66 East to the I-495 Capital Beltway heading south
towards Richmond. Remain on Beltway (I-95) towards Baltimore
and merge onto US-1 N via EXIT 177B toward ALEXANDRIA / MT
VERNON HWY / OLD TOWN ALEXANDRIA. Go 6 blocks, turn right
on King Street to the river and turn left on Union Street
(last street before the river); 1/2 block to the Torpedo Factory
Art Center on the right. Find out where

cruise to the waterfront right outside of the Torpedo Factory
