For commissions I use a traditional design
process; starting with gathering information
and priorities from the client. Then I develop
sketches and small models and even computer
illustrations and digital mock-ups if needed.
There is a lot of communication throughout my
design process; the client is involved as much
as they wish to be. I find this always yields
the best possible results.
There is really no way I can tell you here
what your project might cost, or even a range,
there are too many variables. I have done custom
projects for $250 and some for $25,000. If you
would like to arrange a meeting, I would be
happy to discuss any ideas you had, and to give
you a project estimate. I have many references.
As you can see by these examples I am not strictly
a classical sculptor. I have in my portfolio
what would be considered modern abstract artwork
-influenced by my graphic design background.
I completed seventeen modern metal sculptures
for Potomac Hospital in 2006. I also paint in
acrylics. I am currently painting the longest
realistic mural in the United States which illustrates
the life of George Washington. When painting,
I typically specialize in Trompe L'oeil relief
paintings -those which are flat but appear to
be dimensional such as the gold medallion shown
here. In essence, sculpture through painting.
