| Soomin Ham is a Washington, D.C. area fine art photographer and multimedia artist. Ham received a Bachelor of Music in orchestral instrument from Ewha Women's University in Seoul, Korea and her Master of Art in photography and multimedia from New York University/International Center of Photography in New York. Her works including multimedia installations, photography, and mixed media have been exhibited in many venues primarily from Washington DC, New York to Seoul, Korea. Ham was selected for Art and Community Visual Arts Residency at the Delaware Center for the Contemporary Art, Wilmington, DE and a grant award from the NEA in 2002. She is a recipient of D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities Grants.
Ham says “My work is based on ideas from memories and experiences that are a congregation of the conscious and unconscious absorbed in daily life. I examine both conventional and experimental materials and methods to expand my creative vision through a series of works.
Her photographs are printed using pigment inks on archival papers and prices vary according to size.
