The works of Betty Rice Seim span the
creative field from bronzes to cast, stone-like, patinaed
cement sculpture for indoor or outdoor use. Her lighter-weight,
three-dimensional wall hangings of seascapes or abstract shapes
attract the eye with their bright colors. This artist works
on the theory that the dependency of the line, form, space
and texture relationship results in a well-balanced whole.
Her art has won awards both in the United States and in Europe.
She has been an active member of the Torpedo Factory Art Center
since its beginning.
