Cindy Packard Richmond is an oils
and a pastel painter. She is a Juried Associate Member of
the Pastel Society of America. Her work has been juried into
many national shows. In 2006, her work was subject of an eight-page
feature article in International Artist magazine. (#50). Her
work was featured for 3 months at the Alexandria Whole Foods
Market. Ms. Richmond is a published novelist and food writer.
Though she no longer writes for a living, she is still captivated
by food. "I find I'm irresistibly drawn to painting bulbous
shapes: the sweeping curves, tightening spirals, rounded edges,
and plump and corpulent essence of food. (I find little comfort
in straight lines, which explains why there are so few in
my paintings.)"
