The work of Gretchen Raber distills
the influences of architecture, art, geometry, materiality
and kinetic properties. Her awards include the Louis Comfort
Tiffany Foundation Grant, numerous First Place Awards in the
Creative Craft Council, and Juror's Recognition Awards in
the Washington Guild of Goldsmiths. A selection of the museums
which contain Raber's pieces in their permanent collections
are the Museum of Art and Design, New York; the Museum of
Modern Art, Kyoto, Japan; the Kunstgewerbe Musuem, Preuzicher
Kulturbesitz, Berlin, Germany.
