For me, the magic
of photography occurs at that moment of seeing when the image,
visible through the lens, demands my total attention with
no consciousness of thought. The magic returns with the recognition
of how the printed image should look and feel. The first is
pure discovery, the second, communication.
I record anything and everything that
I find compelling. Some of my images evoke the emotion of
the place or subject; others play with the abstraction of
form and plane in architectural photographs. While my subjects
are varied, my focus is often with light and how it reveals,
mystifies and sustains our universe of experience.
These images are collages from elements
of various photographs. Then are captured with a conventional
camera and are printed digitally. They are part of a body
of work that includes "Embryo", "Habitat",
and "Reaching.
These photographs are available matted
