Lane Palmisano,
a New Jersey native, is an imaginative colorist oil painter
enamored with the lush, luminescent properties of the medium.
Her evocative paintings, drenched in color, heal and soothe
the soul. Lane is a multi-faceted colorist, equally enamored
with landscape, figurative, and still-life compostions. She
combines a loose, impasto application using brush and pallet
knife with the Old Master's glazing techniques, layering her
work with veils of paint. This process gives her paintings
an unusual texture and luminosity. Her sensual use of color
pays tribute to the Post-impressionist art of Cezanne, Gauguin,
and Matisse.
Lane's timeless, colorful paintings are
in private and public collections throughout the world including
the
permanent collection at the American Embassy in Beijing, China.
Her paintings have won
numerous awards including the Sigsbee Gilham "Best-in-Show"
from the Art League for Isabelle's
Realm.
