Alice Mostoff's
color
filled images are vigorous, energetic and gestural landscapes
and abstractions. These explosive works convey a sense of
rhythm and spontaneity. Her paintings, monotypes and collages
are found in private and corporate collections throughout
the world, as well as the National Museum of American History,
Washington, D.C.and the Arts and Embassies Program .The William
and Mary Review has published her work. She has recently received
an award for her landscape painting in the show "Florida,
Old and New" at the Elliott Museum in Stuart Florida.
Mostoff has a Bachelor of Arts Degree
from Hunter College in New York City, has done graduate work
at Brooklyn College and has studied at the Brooklyn Museum,
the Art League in Alexandria, Virginia and Northern Virginia
Community College. She maintains a studio at the Torpedo Factory
Art Center in Alexandria ,Virginia.
