Sophia McCrocklin, whose work has
been hailed by the Washington Post as "brilliant,"
is an accomplished collage artist who currently resides in
Washington, DC where she pursues her art.
Sophia McCrocklin studied studio art at
Smith College and textiles at Penland School of Crafts. In
addition McCrocklin has been awarded the honor of a national
fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts and, the
Award for Artistic Excellence, from the Kentucky Department
of the Arts.
Her collages, called "inventive"
by the Washington Times, are represented in private and corporate
collections across the United States and Europe. McCrocklin's
work has also been featured in the Washington Post, the Washington
Times, the Gazette, the Georgetowner, the Old Town Crier,
the Northwest Current, Where Magazine and Galleries Magazine.
