Marcel was born And raised in Seattle, Washington. She has lived in Northern Virginia since 1972 and has maintained a studio at the Torpedo Factory since 1976. Prior to settling in VA, she traveled extensively in Europe and North Africa.
Marcel is known for her bold, yet sensitive, use of color and design. Her images in all media reflect her love of nature. Her glowing color, both intense and delicate, is achieved through the use of transparent layers of color.
Her prices for oils range from $200 to $ 10,000. Most of her larger pieces are $1200 to $3000. Paper mache mini-fish (sculpture) are $15 to $125. Most of the larger serigraphs are $225. |
