Carol Gellner Levin is a clinical
social worker, turned sculptor. Her representational work
in ceramics, bronze, various cast materials, and mixed media
is highly personal and often emotional in content. For this
sculptor, art is a conversation between herself and the viewer.
Exceptional art communicates an idea or experience in a unique
way and the viewer may respond by feeling a personal connection
with the piece. That is this artist's goal.
Carol's work has been exhibited at the
Corcoran Museum of Art, The Museum of the Americas, Washington
Square (by the Farragut North Metro Station) and the Jane
Haslem Gallery in Washington, DC. In New York City, her work
has been shown various times at The National Sculpture Society
and the National Arts Club. She has show at Brookgreen Gardens
in South Carolina and internationally through the Arts in
Embassies Program. Carol's concrete sculpture, entitled "Marilyn
and Sarah Anne" stands in front of Strathmore Hall Arts
Center in Rockville, Md.
