Anne's paintings are whimsical or religious
and sometimes both. She uses vibrant dreamlike colors to vividly
express these humorous and holy aspects of her personality
and life. Originally from New Orleans, Anne has lived in Alexandria
for 30 years. She moved here from New York with Time-Life
Books in the 1970's.
Anne has loved painting all her life and
after graduating from Newcomb Art School of Tulane University
she went to New York to study art and dance. Retiring from
Time Life in the 80's she studied photography and painting
at Northern Virginia Community College. Anne was juried into
the Torpedo Factory in 1996.
