Kyoko Hull
was born and raised in Japan. She completed her undergraduate
degree at Keio University in Tokyo and her Masters degree
at Boston University.
Ms. Hull has studied pottery at the Art
League School in Alexandria, Virginia; the Penland School
of Crafts in North Carolina; and the Haystack Mountain School
of Crafts in Maine.
A professional potter since 1997, Ms.
Hull creates porcelain pots for everyday use. Although trained
in the United States, her work reflects the influence of the
Japanese pots of her childhood.
Her pots can be found at the Torpedo Factory
Art Center and shops in Washington, D.C. and Connecticut.
Currently she is focusing on her
new mixed media work.
