Gwendolyn Graine's paper assemblages
are made of Japanese papers which the artist paints with bold,
acrylic colors. Some are folded, some are cut and some are
combined with painted sheets of plexi, making them luminous
and mysterious. Most of her pieces are dimensional.
Graine's work is exciting, personal and
unusual. She has had many one person shows and is represented
in collections in this country and abroad.
