The conscious
intention and process of my work involves the experimentation
with and exploration of the relationships between space, color,
movement, light and form. I begin an intuitive process, reacting
to my materials, tools and moods. Each action leads to the
next. My process is one of forging forward, stepping back,
designing and redesigning, constructing and deconstructing,
thinking and rethinking. The result, each time, occurs with
a certain clarity bringing excitement, anticipation, satisfaction
and understanding.
As my process proceeds physically, aesthetically
and technically, I realize the connection between my conscious
aesthetic intention and the subconscious references to my
personal history and my continuing journey. It is my hope
for the viewer to discover personal references within my work,
layer those upon mine, thus allowing each work to exist in
many incarnations. The melding of image and form create a
memorial to my process, my experience and to the potential
of the viewers'.
