Barbro Eriksdotter creates contemporary art jewelry and small objects. Her native Sweden informs her aesthetic - clean, minimalist lines of mostly abstract shapes are dominant. However, the influence of her early focus on fiber arts is apparent in her frequent use of textures as a dynamic juxtaposition to the simplicity of line and form.

Barbro is a partner, since 1983, of Studio Metallum (#201), known for its innovative contemporary designs. A faculty member of the Art League School for 16 years, she now focuses entirely on creating her own jewelry. She is a founding member and past president of the Washington Guild of Goldsmiths.

Her award winning work has been featured in numerous local, national and international juried exhibitions.
