Most of my work is
non-representational, abstract painting on canvas, paper or
wood. Often nontraditional materials, such as bits of painted
canvas, paper, sand, thread and string are added to create
a textured surface for the minimal style I respond to.
With each piece, there is
a great effort to not say any more than is needed -- every
element is essential. Working in the abstract offers me limitless
challenges.
A number of works are made
from several panels that result in large cohesive paintings.
Works can be found in numerous
corporate and private collections as well as the State Department
embassies and consulates in China, Italy, Slovenia, Belgium,
France, India, Holland, Yemen and Washington, DC.
My next solo show, "Black
and White", will be at Touchstone Gallery, Washington,
DC in June 2008.
Works range in price from
$150 - $5000.
