Danny Conant is a Washington D.C.
area fine art photographer whose work has appeared in many
national publications. Her specialty is figurative work, and
then she uses a number of alternative processes to produce
her beautiful imagery; platinum, silver gelatin, Polaroid
emulsion transfers and beyond the digital prints.
Conant's extensive travels have taken
her to the far and near east. Multiple trips to China and
Tibet have allowed her to delve further into the spirit and
culture of the regions. Her 2002 book, "Tibetan Journey",
is an extensive collection of beautiful and diverse platinum
prints. The most recent work is a book to be published spring
2008 "Vanishing Tibet". This book of color prints
shows the religious and cultural constraints put on the Tibetan
people by the Chinese. The images begin with a photograph
but become different works of art using fresco, fabric, metal
and wood
