poppi is the fun & clever alter ego of dawn benedetto.
It's a line of jewelry that doesn't take life too seriously,
poppi can add a splash of color to jeans or an extra spark
to ignite your little black dress. It's a statement.

I picked up my first torch when I was 14. I graduated in 1993
with a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University. In 1997,
I became an artist in-residence at the Torpedo Factory Art
Center. I am best known for a ring I invented in 2001. It
is a simple design with a sterling silver band and colorful
beads that adjusts to fit most fingers. I have recently been
rejuvenated by a find of un-circulated vintage Lucite. I instantly
fell in love with this rich, colorful candy-like material,
I sat down at my bench and played and played. I make silver
components that I feel complement the Lucite. This line showcases
my fascination with color, confections and the big top circus.
The collection is both contemporary and classic and honors
a special period of design history that was full of hope,
optimism, bold color and modernity.
