As a newly juried Torpedo Factory Associate Artist, I am eager to share the book arts with a broader audience. Artist books offer collectors an opportunity to interact with art in a hands-on and intimate manner, while objects such as journals, boxes, handmade paper cards, and sculptures bring beauty to everyday life.

My current work is personal, with an interest in exploring things that have remained unspoken, secret or denied. The book arts as medium offer abundant opportunities to experiment with tactics to reveal some secrets and keep others. I try to create structures that can accommodate what I can't yet say alongside what I have to say. Layers, translucency, boxes, hidden compartments, storytelling, images, and staged revelation are my current forms of expression.

I challenge myself - and by extension anyone who interacts with my work - to risk saying what we most deeply want to say, while respecting the need for privacy when it matters. Journey, choices, recovery, redemption and forgiveness are current themes.
