Let your creative side play at this 4th annual event taking place
during the Alexandria Festival of the Arts!
Become a part of the creative process with
hands-on projects, artist demonstrations,
and special activities taking place throughout
the afternoon.
Artist
Demonstrations and Hands-On Projects
Enjoy artist demonstrations throughout the
day including pottery on the wheel, painting,
sculpture, and much more.
Visitors are also invited to try their hand at different art techniques including clay throwing and fiber art at special "Try Me" stations.
Guests will get
creative with hands-on projects including
the popular Champagne Cork Chairs Workshop,
Bubble Gum Painting, and Screen Printing. Target Gallery partners with SPARK to present a Spoken Word activity and the
Alexandria Archaeology Museum, The
Art League, and Historic
Alexandria History Center and Museum Store
join the fun with their own special activities.

DCypher Dance
Performance
At 1:15pm and 3:15pm, DCypher Dance, Joy
of Motion Dance Center's resident hip-hop
fusion company, will perform Tribute, a high-voltage dance tribute to the late legendary King of Pop, Michael Jackson.
Art-Inspired
Treats and Refreshments
The SnackShak by Bittersweet
will offer a cupcake
creation inspired by the Torpedo Factory and other goodies available for
purchase.
Scavenger Hunts
A Scavenger Hunt will lead visitors through studios holding artist demonstrations and will offer a chance to win artwork by Torpedo Factory artist Niki Pickett. Kids are invited to go on their own fun Scavenger Hunt and enter to win a VIP prize package for the Torpedo Factory's annual Arts Safari event on October 9, 2010. The VIP prize package will include an artist-made crown, Torpedo Factory t-shirt, gift certificate for lunch for 4 at the SnakShack, and line-jumping privileges for art activities.
